On January 21, 2012, the Lambda Chapter at UC San Diego proudly crossed their newest addition to the chapter and to the NAK familia. The Omicron class of the Lambda chapter has shown they truly are a special breed of men, as they have proven to strive for academic excellence as well as taking pride in their culture. It was a long but well waited journey these brothers underwent. Once again congratulations to Johnny Pascual, Juan Sanchez, Gregory Jauregui, Andrew Ramirez, John Guerra, Robert Flores, and Randy Tabares, the Omicron Class! Welcome to the Familia!
NAK is featured in Lakeside’s River Park Newsletter

After a successful weekend of community services @Lambda Chapter, the UCSD NAKs were featured in Lakeside’s River Park newsletter. With help of the NAK little bros, the brothers were able to help reconstruct a worn down shelter next to the river bed by painting over several tagging and replaced broken pieces of wood. At the end of the day, the NAKs were able to successfully help conserve the river bed.

Day 2 continued as the NAKs @Lambda Chapter, along with the NAKs @Beta Chapter SDSU, walked in the Breast Cancer Walk.
This concluded a successful community service weekend for the NAKs @Lambda Chapter!
Message to our NAK Interests!
Dear UCSD Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. interests,
I would first like to thank you for choosing to rush NAK this Fall quarter. As you may have already noticed, the first couple of weeks of the school year are full of events hosted by many of the student organizations as well as the university-hosted events.
For the past couple of months, Nu Alpha Kappa has been busy working hard to set up events to promote our fraternity. My participation in NAK has provided many opportunities and I would like for you to take advantage of this chance before you as well. As the current Rush Director, I invite you to come out to our events, which are free of charge, so that you can get to the know the brothers of NAK and see if NAK might be a good fit for you. Even though I would like to see you at all of our events, I advise that you consider checking out the other organizations so you can be exposed to the other great events and organizations that are being showcased this week.
As part of our rush this quarter, we want to inform you what we are all about. Our events consist of social events with partner organizations, our undergraduate chapter of Nu Alpha Kappa and our Alumni Association.
Yes, we all like to have fun, but that is only the tip of the iceberg of what NAK has to offer for you. Through NAK, we become more aware of our diverse cultures and are able to share it with the rest of the student body. We are a close support group which aspires to reach the best grades we can as we are all here to graduate. We are an organization that opens doors to multiple networks for present and future needs. We also have a business aspect and gain a glance of what the real world is like after college as a recognized Non-Profit Organization.
Once again, thank you for your interest. We hope that all of your questions are answered as you explore whether NAK fits your needs as an undergraduate.
If you have any questions/concerns, feel free to contact me through email: gjaimes112@gmail.com, or by phone:619.871.7893.

The Lambda Chapter brings in MGC Fraternity of the Year 2011 Award
The NAKs at the Lambda chapter are proud to announce themselves as the Multicultural Greek Council Fraternity of the Year 2011. After its addition of 13 new brothers, the NAKs were able to fund raise and serve the community at a better rate than the other fraternities. With community service events like those of the Adelante Latino Conference or Toy Drives at M.E.N.D. and fundraisers that consisted of taco sales, On Broadway’s Pink and White Affair and the gentlemen’s auction, UCSD NAKs were able to claim the Fraternity of the Year Award.
Congratulations to the 2011 NAK graduates!
The Lambda Chapter Launches it’s New Website!
NAK at the Lambda Chapter announces the launch of it’s newest site! The site was put together by the help of current active brother, Miguel Vargas. The site integrates some of the old features from the old site & also improves in other areas. Some of the new features include the new NAK Rush Form for current interests to stay up to date with the rush events. It also integrates with popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. for people to follow our current events & stay up to date with what we do with more ease. The website also moved from WordPress to its own independent site, but keeps the WordPress site as it blog site, NAK Blog: Lambda Chapter. Check it out for yourself @ http://www.nakucsd.org/
